The Young and Dangerous(ly Stupid)

It was a guy’s night out and a while back since the three of us sat down for a chat like this. It was a place that you can have steak and other western style food. The place is so popular that it is packed and tables go all the way out to the five foot way and roadside. We were seated near the entrance, one lone table secluded from the rest of the other tables. That way, we can have a good chat and not be bothered by second hand smoke.

Our table became a courtside seat for a brawl fest which took place after a waiter had a disagreement with customer. It happened so fast that before we knew it, he was walking away while being pursued by his fellow waiters. Apparently, he had punched on of the other waiters and it is resulting in a brawl.

One of those involved, which I would be referring to as Shorty because of his stature, was fuming with anger. While one of his friends called the cops to report that a certain waiter is causing an altercation, Shorty (who wasn’t in uniform, so I suspect he is a friend of some of the waiters) called his friends.

Shorty was standing next to our table when he made that call and we could hear every profanity he lashed out. I sipped my drink profusely in my attempt to not laugh out loud and add salt to Shorty’s wounded ego. Apparently, Shorty was calling for reinforcement.  Apparently he was punched by ‘the waiter who started the brawl’.

[Just fight back, tough guy]

Imagine his friends turning up with their weapons just in time to meet the cops who are on their way.

These guys are real geniuses.

Finally, the cops arrived half an hour later. By now, everyone who was part of the brawl felt like an idiot and act as if nothing had happened. They had risked the reputation of the restaurant and they all looked like a bunch of silly school boys with big egos.

By now the lone waiter who initiated the brawl was nowhere to be found. Shorty sat in a table far far away from the scene of the crime, trying to look inconspicuous and blending in with the crowd.

Two other waiters and Shorty’s girlfriend were sitting at the table across from ours. Now they are even too chickened to speak to the policemen and sent Shorty’s girlfriend over to inform the police that everything was under control.

What kind of men are these? They need a girl to speak with the cops?

What of the group of men who are supposed to turn up in large numbers to take on the waiter who started the whole affair?

These guys are just a bunch of faggots who could not stand up for themselves. They called their friends, the police and in the end, a girl in mini skirt had to take care of business for them.

Guys, if you are ever in a situation like this, just walk away.

It’s not worth the trouble. The time and energy is best spent elsewhere.
